Pause for Prayers

Shreveport     Here’s one for the record books. We were bargaining a Local 100 contract in Shreveport yesterday afternoon, so I drove up from Baton Rouge to the session.

The lawyer for the company started the session with a prayer. This sentiment was much appreciated by everyone because it wished for harmony and success for both sides in reaching an agreement, so it was a first, but welcome step forward.

Ninety minutes later, the same lawyer was “god damning” us and stomping out of the session slamming the door.

Always important to begin and end each session with a prayer, I guess?
