Sister Mary is mad because she put her faith in President Hope and Audacity and he gutted the climate change bill, let the bankers walk off with their pockets stuffed and didn’t even make them re-negotiate their loans to people on the verge of foreclosure. In her heart of hearts she thinks that President Hope and Audacity is going to pass a health care reform bill that doesn’t have any health care it. President Hope and Audacity is going to pass an Employee Free choice act that doesn’t have card check-off and President Hope and Audacity is going to do everything he can, short of direct confrontation, to stop Immigration reform. And, to add insult to injury, she is standing in front of a group that has the power within their combined organizations to win a genuine progressive agenda but who feels suddenly helpless because they lost their organizing tool, George Bush and the organizations are being ran by people with political agendas My questions to the crowd she is standing in front of would be this: If it was right to call for the Investigation and impeachment of Cheney because he let the oil companies write the energy policy, why is it suddenly called bipartisan and letting the stakeholders decide when Obama lets the Health insurance companies and Doctors into the White House to write Health care reform? And why are you satisfied to let the moneyed interests run this country?
